Huge hat tip to Nicole Bogdas for posting about this on Facebook.
This map shows the states I’ve visited, and it’s color-coded in a way that makes a lot of sense.
Pink for states where I’ve not spent much time or seen very much.
Amber for states where I’ve at least slept and seen some sights.
Blue for states I’ve spent a lot of time in or seen a fair amount of.
Green for states I’ve spent a great deal of time in on multiple visits.
My tally so far is 33 states. Only 17 more to go. At least they are pretty much in clusters, with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii, of course.
Some I can’t believe. Like Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Growing up in New Jersey, that’s not all that far away. That said, I was in Boston once and I didn’t drive 20 minutes to New Hampshire. So that’s all on me. And what is up with Iowa? I live one state over. And granted it’s about 4 hours, but I can totally get there.
