I don’t listen to a lot of Christmas music, but that doesn’t mean I don’t take my Spotify Christmas playlist seriously. But what does a Jewish guy know about Christmas music?
Turns out, some. While there are well over 100 songs on the list, about 40 of them were stolen from my wife. I’m pretty proud of the rest, even though there’s about 10 versions of O Holy Night and a whole bunch of stuff from Neil Diamond. And there are songs that I wish I could include that Spotify doesn’t offer.
So why 10 versions of O Holy Night? Honestly, that’s not enough. It’s truly my favorite Christmas song. No kidding. I remember a choir singing it during Christmas Mass about 20 years ago and that did it for me.
That said, one of the best things about Spotify playlists is the curation. If you have a song that you love that you think belongs in my list, please let me know in the comments. It’s likely I forgot about it and love it too, but it’s also possible that I’ve never heard of it and I’ll be broadening my horizons.
Or if comments aren’t your thing, tweet me. No matter how you choose to get in touch, I love hearing from you.
I wish you all a very happy holiday season and a wonderful, healthy, happy and prosperous New Year.
