While I tend to work 14 hours a day, I occasionally find time to enjoy a margarita or two. Ok, three, but that’s my final offer. And as heavily into social media as I am, I like to take photos of everything and document them somewhere. A while back, I started what has become one of my most popular Pinterest board, and it’s devoted to cocktails.
With today being National Margarita Day, it seemed like the perfect time to do a post showcasing some of those photos.
From Frontera Grill and Topolobampo in Chicago to Mesa Grill in New York – even ones made with love in our kitchen at home, here are some margaritas that I hope quench your thirst.
Sauza Conmemorativo tequila, Torres orange liqueur, housemade limonada, shaken tableside at Topolobampo in Chicago.
Backlit with a candle at Zocalo in Chicago.
Tequila, coconut liquor, cane sugar, lime at Topolobampo in Chicago.
Tequila, cactus pear purée, fresh lime at Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill in New York.

Not your typical variety – tequila, pumpkin spice liqueur, limonada, cinnamon-sugar rim, lime. At Carnivale in Chicago.
White peach-basil margarita
Cazadores blanco tequila, Cointreau, white peach, fresh-squeezed lime juice, basil syrup, salt. At Frontera Grill in Chicago.

Throat numbingly spicy, but oh so good at Zed 451 in Chicago.
And here’s a little bonus for those of you who don’t like salt on your margarita.
